TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Ink Jet Technician to support high-impact public affairs and advocacy campaigns through reliable, high-quality print production. In this on-site role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain industrial inkjet equipment, managing color, media, and file workflows to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of client materials. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and software issues, performing preventive maintenance, and monitoring print quality in a fast-paced production environment.

You'll collaborate closely with our small, hands-on teams, contributing technical expertise that keeps campaigns running smoothly while gaining exposure to strategic communications work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain inkjet printing equipment for client campaigns and materials
  • Set up print jobs, manage color profiles, and ensure accurate file-to-print workflows
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, and software issues on inkjet systems
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, cleaning, and parts replacement to maximize uptime
  • Monitor print quality, perform test runs, and adjust settings for optimal output
  • Collaborate with account and production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Document maintenance, repairs, and job parameters for quality and compliance records
  • Manage ink, media, and spare parts inventory; coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Support process improvements to increase print efficiency and consistency
  • Follow safety, equipment, and data-handling protocols in a production environment
