Middle School Assistant Principal (Act 93)

Hanover Public School District is seeking a dynamic, highly organized middle school assistant principal to champion a safe, positive, and vibrant school culture. The Role at a Glance:
- Student Culture & Discipline:
Serve as the primary leader for student behavior, balancing firm, equitable accountability with proactive PBIS and restorative practices. - Attendance Intervention:
Monitor attendance and oversee student attendance improvement plans in compliance with PA Act 138. - Staff Evaluation:
Act as a key instructional leader, evaluating approximately 50% of professional staff (Danielson Framework) and the majority of the building's support staff. - Athletics &
Activities:
Direct the middle school sports and extracurricular programs, ensuring student eligibility and providing administrative coverage at events.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania Principal K-12 Certification.
- 35 years of successful public school teaching experience (middle school experience preferred).
- All required clean PA Clearances (Acts 34, 151, 114, 168).
- Deep familiarity with PA Act 13 (Educator Effectiveness) and PA Safe Schools reporting.
- An approachable, visible leadership style and a sense of humor.
