Learning Support Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic individual dedicated to helping students succeed! We have a Learning Support Teaching Assistant position available at Clearview Elementary effective at the start of the  school year. The position provides academic support to students under the direction of a teacher, assists the teacher in managing student behavior and maintaining a safe learning environment, and performs a variety of clerical support functions.

The position is school-year, full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day. Pay rate is at least $14.06 per hour minimum. Offered rate is based on experience and internal equity. Must meet Qualified Status with two years of post-secondary education OR high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of a locally-administered assessment (CAPE) test, which can be taken after hire. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be cooperative, congenial and service-oriented. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks.
