Intensive Learning Support Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic individual dedicated to helping students succeed! We have a full-time Intensive Learning Support Teaching Assistant position available at Hanover High School effective at the start of the  school year. This position not only provides academic support to students under the direction of a teacher and assists in enhancing student well-being in the classroom and developing essential life skills, but also supports students during hands-on activities within the community.

Teaching Assistants also perform a variety of clerical support functions. This position is school-year, Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day. Pay rate is at least $14.06 per hour minimum. Offered rate is based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications:

• Must meet Highly Qualified Status with two years of post-secondary education OR high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of a Competency test, which can be taken after hire.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
