Learning Support Teaching Assistant Positions

We are looking for dynamic individuals dedicated to helping students succeed! We have two Learning Support Teaching Assistant positions available at Hanover Middle School effective at the start of the  school year. The positions provide academic support to students under the direction of a teacher, assist the teacher in managing student behavior and maintaining a safe learning environment, and perform a variety of clerical support functions.

The positions are school-year, full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day. Pay rate is at least $14.06 per hour minimum. Offered rate is based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications:

• Must meet Qualified Status with two years of post-secondary education OR high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of a locally-administered assessment (CAPE) test, which can be taken after hire.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
