Materials Expeditor

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a detail-oriented Materials Expeditor to coordinate materials, vendors, and timelines that support complex public affairs and communications campaigns. In this role, you'll oversee ordering, tracking, and delivery of print, digital, and event-related materials, ensuring accuracy, on-time arrival, and budget compliance. You'll collaborate closely with account teams, finance, and external vendors, maintaining clear documentation and proactive status updates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ordering, tracking, and delivery of materials for public affairs and communications projects.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, delivery schedules, and status reports for internal teams.
• Liaise with vendors to confirm specifications, pricing, lead times, and shipment details.
• Support procurement processes including POs, quotes, and basic contract administration.
• Monitor budgets and flag variances in material costs or shipping charges.
• Collaborate with account and project teams to forecast material needs and timelines.
• Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or quality problems with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Update ERP/trackers and prepare routine reports on material flow and vendor performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline materials workflows and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements in material handling.
