Overview

Job Shift Swing

Description

Responsible for operating the automated depalletizer, ensuring proper flow of product to the labeling lines.

Operates the automated depalletizer, ensuring proper flow of product to the labeling lines.

Reports any mechanical or safety problems to Supervisor or Lead person immediately.

Checks product for can codes and manufacturing defects (bad seams, swells, dented cans, etc.).

Removes divider sheets from between the layers of cans and stacks the divider sheets neatly on a skid.

Maintains the proper paperwork and forms in an accurate and neat manner (including penmanship).

Removes the skid tag from the skid and documents the necessary information on the proper forms used by Inventory Control.

Places ticket back on any part of a skid being returned to the warehouse; and assists the forklift driver in securing cans on the top layer.

Maintains and operates the empty skid palletizer to ensure proper flow and stacking of empty pallets.

Maintains good housekeeping practices in work area (sweeping floors, cleaning equipment, etc.).

Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.

Adheres to common safety practices and procedures including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required. Reports any safety issues immediately to Supervisor.

Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead person.
