Description

Responsible for performing BPCS, distribution and audit functions to ensure accurate reporting of inventory movement.

Performs BPCS, distribution and audit functions

Operates a lift truck in a safe manner – checking it daily to ensure there's gas or an electrical charge, oil, and water.

Checks and confirms that the wheels of the trailer being loaded are chocked.

Assists with cycle counting and physical inventory.

Performs duties according to Good Manufacturing practices (GMP's) and plant rules and regulations.

Responsible for lifting up to 100 pounds, as required.

Assists in training new employees.

Adheres to common safety guidelines/practices.

Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead person.

Qualifications

The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.

The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.

Fully trained and knowledgeable of distribution, inventory control procedures and related computer systems and equipment.
Ability to operate all department equipment (i.e., lift truck, hand truck, etc.)
Previous experience working in a food processing plant
Basic math skills
Ability to record data onto a spreadsheet
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate to management and co-workers
Ability to work in all environments
Ability to work overtime, as required
Must have a good attendance record
Must have safe work habits
Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner
