Senior Daewoo CNC Mill Operator
This role is ideal for an experienced CNC mill machinist who can independently set up and operate Daewoo milling equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. You will manage the complete machining process at the machine, including interpreting prints, selecting work holding and tooling, setting offsets, inspecting parts, performing safe program edits, and solving machining problems to ensure high-quality, efficient production.
Responsibilities- Independently set up and operate Daewoo CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Review and interpret engineering prints and work orders to determine machining requirements, tolerances, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and work holding solutions to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe machining operations.
- Set and adjust machine offsets, speeds, and feeds to achieve required dimensions, surface finish, and cycle times.
- Perform safe CNC program edits at the machine to optimize processes and resolve minor programming issues.
- Use precision measurement tools to inspect parts and verify that they meet blueprint and GD&T requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve dimensional, surface finish, tooling, and setup problems directly at the machine.
- Monitor machine performance and part quality throughout production runs, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity during all machining activities.
- Demonstrate dependable attendance and take consistent ownership of assigned work and production goals.
- Substantial CNC milling experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to independently set up CNC mills, including tooling, work holding, offsets, and program verification.
- Hands-on experience operating Daewoo CNC machining centers or closely comparable CNC milling equipment.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T symbols.
- Solid shop math skills for calculating dimensions, offsets, speeds, and feeds.
- Proficiency with GD&T and precision measurement tools for in-process and final inspection.
- Ability to select and configure appropriate tooling and work holding for various machining operations.
- Capability to adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets to optimize machining performance and part quality.
- Experience troubleshooting dimensional issues, surface finish problems, tooling wear, and setup errors.
- Comfort with CNC programs and safe program editing at the machine.
- Consistent, dependable attendance and strong ownership of safety, quality, and productivity.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with close-tolerance parts in a precision manufacturing setting.
- Background in CNC milling on multiple machine brands in addition to Daewoo or similar equipment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and accuracy.

JobType & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Hanover, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
