Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team. This position provides coverage at our Hanover outpatient center for neurological and orthopedic conditions. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides quality, comprehensive, patient-centered physical therapy services including administration of a treatment plan under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist, documentation and communication with team members, and supervision to non-licensed personnel.

Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers.

Compensation

• $26.00 - $44.00 per hour
• This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program required.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
