CHB Operations Associate

Job Description

The CHB Operations Associate coordinates and executes shipments to ensure clients’ service levels are met daily. This role supports a group of client accounts, expediting their shipments from start to finish, developing familiarity with their import programs and products, and coordinating file processing with team members and other company work groups.

• Own all CHB operations services for assigned customers, including providing customer service and answering questions.
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance, ensuring full compliance with Customs and PGA regulations.
• Open entry files and process entries according to outlined KPIs.
• Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines to ensure timely release.
• Complete customer billing and required reports.
• Track and trace inbound shipments.
• Coordinate operations for shipments from airlines, ocean piers, and CFS to customer or consignee destinations.
• Ensure required documentation and entry packages are uploaded to the operating system.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs as needed.

• Minimum 2 years of CHB experience.
• Knowledge of Section
  232 and IEEPA tariff structure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, consistently drives issues to closure.
• Well organized, detail oriented, especially under pressure.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Works well in a team to achieve results and fosters teamwork.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (equivalent work experience acceptable).
• Customs House Brokerage license preferred but not required.

Salary: $56,000 – $60,000 per year * (anticipated starting salary range; may be adjusted based on market conditions and other factors). Full‑time employees are eligible for health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) match *.
