The Warehouse Associate Level One is an entry-level position that sets the foundation for a career in warehouse operations. This role is responsible for performing basic warehouse tasks, including order picking, staging, and inventory management, while operating pallet jacks proficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform basic order picking, staging, and organizing for shipments.
  • Conduct simple inventory management tasks (basic entries in BC - Ad Hoc moves).
  • Support introductory receiving and shipping procedures.
  • Operate a baler machine and perform baler functions to manage cardboard and packaging waste.
  • Break down boxes and properly dispose of or recycle packaging materials.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and warehouse sanitation protocols (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
  • Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with inter-department team members.
Performance Metrics:
  • Compliance with safety protocols.
  • Efficiency in task completion.
  • Accuracy in order picking and staging.
  • Efficiency in supporting receiving and shipping tasks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse organization and processes.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in handling manual and riding pallet jacks.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (GMP, HACCP) is preferred.
Work Conditions:
  • Exposure to varying temperatures depending on warehouse conditions.
  • Cold and wet environment with temperatures ranging from 35 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit .
  • Must adhere to safety standards, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Standard hazards associated with persons and equipment in motion in a warehouse.
Physical requirements
  • Ability to read, write, see, hear, and speak clearly to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication.
  • Ability to bend, squat, stoop, reach, turn, and move around in a fast-paced environment as needed to complete job tasks.
  • The employee must frequently stand and walk. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
