Job SummaryThis role focuses on customer service for accounts and collections. Key duties include providing excellent service to our membership and employee base, accurate data entry into the fitness center system, adhering to daily deadlines, and fostering strong customer relationships within the Business Services Team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform debt collection and customer service.
- Update member account information, both financial and personal.
- Perform daily deposits in collaboration with Business Services team members.
- Reach out to member base to update credit card information prior to monthly drafts.
- Cross-check new and returning members against the Louisiana State Police website for offenders.
- Maintain the collection website, input outstanding balances and update payments.
- Other duties as required.
Required – High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred – Two years of college coursework.
Required – Proven experience in debt collection via phone, in person, or email. Experience processing payments and/or adjustments accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Collection experience, use of computerized systems and Microsoft Office applications, and related office or business office environment experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and information retrieval.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally to varied audiences.
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role, and keyboard use.
- Time‑management skills and ability to adhere to daily deadlines.
- Organizational skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Good judgment.
Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements. Ensure compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards. Report any known or suspected unethical behavior or compliance concerns promptly.
