Due to increased volumes and retiring physicians, an integrated academic healthcare system operating more than 40 hospitals has three general/spine focused neurosurgery openings. Each location has spine and cranial navigation on site. The new hires will each be provided with an APP.

The healthcare system’s Neurosurgery Department is the largest academic group in the area with full subspecialty coverage for both pediatric and adult neurosurgical pathologies. Their neurosurgery regional presence is unsurpassed, encompassing six community medical centers throughout their home state.

Opportunity One:
This is an opportunity for an ambitious self-starter excited to lead and grow an ASC-based spine practice. More complex cases can be done on the main campus. Newly fellowship-trained spine surgeons interested in MIS work and those with experience are encouraged to apply. Endoscopic and robotic expertise would be welcomed.

Practice Highlights:

• Full support of complex spine colleagues as well as pain management and PM&R

• Position includes 1:12 call at the main campus with full resident and APP coverage

• An academic appointment is available with ability to work with residents and fellows

• Full participation in all departmental academic/CME activities including weekly case conferences/grand rounds and monthly M&M

Interests in complex spine, general neurosurgery and trauma will be well supported. The institution has an Accredited Cancer Center and is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center. Practice Highlights:

• General call will be 1:5 as shared with employed and community-based neurosurgeons

• Call is consultative in nature; APPs take all patient call, floor call and ER call during the day

• 80/20 mix of spine and cranial cases

• Strong elective volume exists; current practice has long wait times and is migrating cases out that can easily be captured

• Experienced practice management leadership and neuro-nursing staff

• Hospital has the latest in equipment including two stealth systems, two O-Arms and a Cyber Knife

• 125 cases conservatively anticipated in year one with more than 250+ expected once established

An award-winning,150-bed, non-designated trauma center is seeking a general neurosurgeon to partner with a spine-trained neurosurgeon on their staff. Care Chex has recognized the hospital as one of the top 25 overall hospitals in the country for neurosurgery.

Position Highlights:

• Call is 1:3 and light in nature at this non-designated trauma center; hospitalists admit patients and APPs take first call during the day

• A mix of 75% spine and 25% cranial volume is available

• Terrific equipment and technology including the Medtronic robot, Stealth navigation and an O-Arm

• Strong system for referrals exists as referring physicians are part of the main health system

• 150 cases anticipated in year one with 200+ once established
