Overview

The Relationship Banker is a trusted advisor who engages clients in meaningful, consultative conversations to understand their financial goals and align on solutions that meet their needs. In this role, you will drive growth by actively promoting and selling the bank’s products and services while deepening client relationships through excellent service, personalized advice, and proactive sales.

Location:

On site at the location listed in the job posting.

Schedule:

Mon‑Fri 8:15‑5:15;
Sat 8:30‑12:15.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage clients in consultative conversations to understand financial priorities and recommend personalized banking solutions with an emphasis on deposit accounts, loans, lines of credit, and referrals to other lines of business.
  • Actively identify and fulfill client deposit and borrowing needs, guiding clients through deposit and loan options, opening deposit accounts, and taking loan applications.
  • Provide personalized financial advice that aligns with short‑ and long‑term client goals, using a deep understanding of the bank’s products and services.
  • Recognize opportunities to deepen relationships with additional products and services and make referrals to bank partners (mortgage, wealth, private client, business banking).
  • Conduct regular calls to clients and prospects to offer tailored financial solutions.
  • Coach associates on sales, referrals, products, and services to support a high‑performing culture.
  • Support teller line operations to keep customer wait times to a minimum and promptly resolve client issues.
  • Attend sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web‑based learning to enhance client service.
  • Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Assist in meetings to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service; support new associate training; manage dual control vault responsibilities and audit controls; stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Universal Banker or Teller.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations.
  • Successful completion of a background credit check.
  • Completion of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment.
