Job SummaryThis job assumes responsibility for ensuring the efficient and effective operational performance of assigned areas of the Fitness Center. Responsible for working together with the Vice President, Directors, Managers and all other employees to support customer service and budgetary goals. Supervises all departments and oversees approximately 200 employees in the building during the shift. Additionally, ensures a safe environment for the Fitness Center employees and its members.
Responsibilities- Oversee and work with all Fitness Center department managers on daily operations of clubs
- Coordinate all deposits from each department to ensure balancing of finances and take daily deposit to the bank
- Properly open and close facility in a timely manner
- Assist managers and directors in meeting budgetary goals for the entire organization
- Make rounds of entire facility every two hours and document all information, monitor and address all safety issues
- Help management team in coordinating all special events for the Fitness Center
- Follow all MOD and Human Resource policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards
- Required – High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Required – less than 1 year general business experience, including supervisory experience
- Required – CPR through American Red Cross and AED Certification
- Required – Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Skills and Abilities
(KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to move freely throughout and between locations.
- Ability to work flexible schedule (24/7, weekends, etc.).
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid. The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
