Registered Nurse; RN - Behavioral Hospital ; Nights

Responsibilities

River Oaks Hospital is a private psychiatric facility located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana. River Oaks has more than 50 years of experience providing acute psychiatric care, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders to adults, adolescents, and children. It is situated on a 14-acre campus and offers inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient services.

River Oaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for full-time days or nights. The Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who delivers, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with the health team. The staff nurse must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. This is a non-exempt hourly position.

Minimum qualifications required:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nurses.
• Ability to clearly speak, write and understand verbal and written English.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital or related inpatient setting preferred.
• Provide service to all populations while demonstrating the Service Excellence Standards.

• Practice Teamwork.

Hours of Work: 7a-7p or 7p-7a; other times as indicated by immediate supervisor.
