The Specialist
- Quality will be responsible for ensuring raw material and product integrity along with other Quality Assurance activities for the plant to include syrup and/or beverage preparation and distribution, microbiology, sanitation, finished product analysis, package integrity testing, and process control by following all current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Test finished product as well as specific packaging attributes as described by our Parent Company to ensure that our finished products meet required specifications
- Perform Micro sample collection and testing
- Blend syrup and/or finished product (hot fill) from concentrate
- Internal and external cleaning/sanitation of production machinery and storage areas
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Ability to demonstrate independence, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
- Effective communication skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
- Ability to execute lab analysis on varying pieces of equipment and instruments
- Ability to work independently as well as, with all functional team members
- Effective interpersonal, quality management, problem solving, time management, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Ability to climb 10 - 12 ft ladder
