Pastoral Assistant of Worship and Discipleship

The PA for worship and discipleship will work closely with the Pastors of Christ Community Church to lead the worship ministry and discipleship programs of Christ Community Church. As the worship leader the PA will help to plan and lead the music ministry. Activities would include recruiting and training team members for the worship and A/V teams. As a leader in discipleship ministry the PA would oversee the adult discipleship programs of the church.

All staff members are expected to be deacon and or elder qualified and will be involved in the general care of the church members.

The position is full time and will include salary/housing allowance, health insurance, and will also include a small moving stipend if needed.

Christ Community Church was planted in 2019 with a core team of 30 adults and 30 children. Since that time the Lord has blessed us with a permanent facility and growth in our membership. We currently have two worship services with approximately 300 in attendance. We planted our first church in August, 2025.

We are a reformed Southern Baptist Church who is a member of the Pillar Network. We emphasize exegetical preaching, we stress the importance of community within the body, and we encourage every believer to be a missionary in their context.

Harker Heights is located in Central Texas on Interstate 14. We are approximately 1 hour north of Austin and 2 hours south of Dallas. Our church facility is strategically located across the street from the local YMCA and a local park. We are placed in a high residential area close to many schools. Our community is situated close to Ft. Hood, one of the largest military installations in the world.

This creates a unique opportunity to train up believers who will be sent across the country and around the world.

We are seeking a qualified man to lead worship in our services and to execute the discipleship plan the Elders have established.
