Overview
The Pre-K 3 Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the developmental, social, emotional, and educational growth of three-year-old children. The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate lessons and activities, encourages positive behavior, promotes school readiness skills, and builds strong relationships with children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is patient, caring, organized, and passionate about early childhood education.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support learning through play.
- Foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skills.
- Conduct daily classroom routines, including circle time, centers, meals, rest time, and outdoor play.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and other required classroom documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets licensing and health regulations.
- Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support program goals and student success.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with classroom preparation, organization, and inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Follow all state licensing requirements, company policies, and safety procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CDA (Highly Recommended)
- Previous childcare or early childhood education experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
