Position:
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Location:
USA - TX - Harker Heights

Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, health education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and SpE review.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits SummaryHourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Actual hourly wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑ and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits. Eligible for up to 80 hours of sick time per calendar year and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
