Registered Nurse​/RN ICU

Overview

Day shift, full-time Intensive Care (ICU) Registered Nurse position in Harker Heights, TX.

• The nurse is responsible for the planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
• Communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisor/manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

• Completion of required education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• RN with Texas Board of Nursing – or current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA required upon hire.
• Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) through AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics endorsed program required within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
• 1+ years of experience in an ICU hospital setting. (Preferred)
• Experience with patient safety best practices. (Preferred)
