JOB SUMMARY
The Aquatics cashier is responsible for collecting money for facility use and consistently monitors pool admittance. Must have the ability to communicate with people of all ages. Must be team oriented. Should have previous experience in running a cash register or cash drawer, handling money, and have a current Texas Driver's license. Must be able to work between the hours of noon and 7:00 pm including weekends.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Under the supervision of the Sports & Aquatics Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for assisting in maintaining and enforcing pool safety.
Responsible for accepting fees and accounting for fees received.
Responsible for answering the phone.
Responsible for explaining basic pool rules.
Responsible for providing information regarding facility use and hours of operation.
Responsible for conflict and customer relations.
Responsible for assisting in general maintenance and clean-up of activities/facilities/restrooms.
Responsible for the property of the City of Harker Heights Aquatics Center.
Responsible for submitting reports to Pool Supervisor on accidents, damage to facilities and equipment, and complaints from facility users.
Attendance is an essential function of the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, Experiences:

Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Should have experience and/or training in basic bookkeeping skills or running a cash register or cash drawer. This position requires good communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and a caring/positive attitude. The Aquatics Cashier is required to interact with all users entering and exiting the pool. Must be able to provide information to pool users and to communicate with the Aquatic Supervisor and with the City of Harker Heights Parks & Recreation Department.
