Position: MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology

Description

We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) and DO (Osteopathic Doctor) professionals. As a Radiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating diseases using medical imaging technologies. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely medical interpretations to guide patient care. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from conducting diagnostic imaging tests to collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Location - Harlingen and Brownsville

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
  • Communicate findings to referring physicians and collaborate on patient treatment plans.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of imaging procedures and results.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards in all imaging procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in healthcare.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging tests.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make accurate and timely diagnoses.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of Radiology.

Shifts:

Monday-Friday, 8a-5p CST

Schedule:

2 weeks on/2 weeks off or every other week

No call requirement

Setting:
Onsite, covering two main facilities

Daily Volume: 120 cases

Cases:
General DX and mammography

Procedures:
Breast biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNA, fluoroscopy

EMR:
Cerner

PACS:
Synapse Fuji

Dictation:
Powerscribe 360

BE/BC
