PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the subject area taaught to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
- Bachelor s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in Art or eligible for employment through an Alternative Certification Program (ACP).
- Eligible ACP candidates must also meet ACP requirements and pass TExES examination(s) required for this position.
- Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students as well asmanage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
