Hiring Range is $49,084.31 - $53,992.74 USD Annual. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Essential Functions- Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
- Provide administration for the grant's process throughout all stages including recruiting, selecting, tracking, and documenting all activities; meets all grant's goals and objectives; maintain fiscal accountability; compile information needed for the reports required by TSTC Office of Sponsored Programs and the US Department of Education.
- Responsible for day-to-day programmatic activities that meet the needs of the grant's target population; collecting, data entering management, and analyzing data measuring program performance and students' progress. Ensures that all services provided are in compliance with the Department of Education regulations.
- Monitor and maintain control of expenditures and billing/invoices within the grant budget. Track expenditures and reconcile college budgets statements with internal program budget spreadsheets. Prepare, analyze, and submit reports to the TSTC Office of Sponsored Programs and the US Department of Education.
- Review and approve curriculum implementation for student sessions/activities to support learning during enrichment trips, service learning projects and cultural excursions; facilitate weekly/bi-weekly/monthly workshops/sessions, student leadership retreat, enrichment trips, service learning projects and employer tours. Assist in the identification and resolution of problems and conflicts in regards to students enrolled in the program;
- Develop and maintain an evaluation plan; hiring, supervision, and evaluation projects staff; organize and conduct staff meetings; provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to the staff.
- Travel for professional development opportunities at local, state, and national level. Travel for student enrichment trips, leadership retreat and cultural excursions.
- Represent TSTC/Grant Program in appropriate local, state, and national organizations and agencies as assigned; maintain positive public relations, participates in departmental meetings, conferences, seminars, and professional meetings as required. Coordinate with principals, counselors, teachers, industry, and agencies seeking program information & developing relationships
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with school districts, agencies, and employers to meet the program objectives. Work closely with school districts and TSTC staff while providing services to support student success and retention.

- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum two to three years of TRIO and/or migrant experience in student service and/or academic support programs, or similar programs for disadvantaged students.
- Professional experience in an education related field. Knowledge of federal grant programs and their operations
- Managerial skills in budget planning.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish along with excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those facing the project participants.
- Committed to program goals and objectives and student achievement.
- Creative and innovative thinker, who actively presents new opportunities, proposes solutions and recommends best practices.
- Strong organizational and project management skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
