• Provide instruction and guidance to students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning.
• Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support student success.
• Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment.
• Complete all training required by TEA.

• Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with math, literacy education, and lesson planning is beneficial.
• Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students.

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas.
• Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.

• Be able to remain active for up to 8 hours consecutively, and have the ability to kneel, crouch, or sit comfortably.
• Visually and audibly able to monitor the classrooms and students and navigate for emergencies.
• Have the physical ability to perform CPR.
• Be able to move swiftly in emergency situations.
