Job Overview:
The UTRGV School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology and Behavioral Health is seeking a full‑time faculty member to serve as the Program Director of the newly founded Neurology Residency Program. The program director will oversee the growth and sustainability of the residency program, lead didactics, collaborate with GME leaders and community partners, and provide outpatient care at UT Health’s Neurology Clinic and other clinical partners.
- Serve as Program Director of the Neurology Residency Program.
- Lead didactic education and curricular development.
- Develop and expand collaborative community partnerships across the Rio Grande Valley.
- Provide outpatient care at UT Health’s Neurology Clinic and other clinical partners.
- Work with GME leaders and the ISU Chair to meet ACGME accreditation requirements.
- M.D. or equivalent.
- Texas medical license (current or ability to obtain).
- Board certified or eligible in Neurology.
- Qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology and Behavioral Health.
- Two (2) years of program director experience.
- EMG training and experience.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
