This is a general job posting for individuals interested in working in the Child Nutrition Department. The position remains open year‑round. The district creates a job applicant pool for these positions and will screen and interview applicants as vacancies develop.
Primary PurposeResponsible for the highest standards of sanitation and organization in the kitchen and surrounding areas while working safely and assisting as needed in food preparation. This is a Part‑Time position and there is no guarantee of hours.
* Full‑time positions are filled by active HCISD child nutrition substitutes.
- Ability to follow, read and understand verbal and written instructions for food preparation and safety procedures.
- Background (police) check will be conducted.
On an as needed basis; must be flexible.
