Job DescriptionThe Manager of Employer Relations will assist the Senior Manager of Employer Relations in developing and executing a regional strategy for employer partnership development by executing the plan and assisting Campus Leads. The Manager of Employer Relations will be responsible for establishing relationships with local employers through coordinating and executing job fairs, employer spotlights, networking opportunities, campus tours, and company visits to cultivate job opportunities.
The Manager of Employer Relations will assist in monitoring regional industry trends and providing recommendations for program enhancements to the student learning & operations team and the Senior Manager of Employer Relations curriculum alignment. Support Campus Leads in their efforts to engage with local employers and industry partners.
Hiring Range is $64-69K. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Essential Functions- Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and members of the community.
- Local/Regional Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with targeted regional/local employers and HR managers for online, hybrid and face‑to‑face programs. - Execute best practices in coordination with the Employer Relations team and regional stakeholders to align with initiatives and strategies.
- Develops and maintains relationships and regular communications with employers to ensure repeat recruiting visits designed to provide internship, co‑op, and employment for TSTC students and alumni.
- Collaboration:
Grow the number of quality employment opportunities for TSTC graduates for the region with tight collaboration from other Regional Leads across the state to maximize the connections with employers recruiting from multiple campuses. - Strategize with Career Development teams on local/regional placement goals and maximize student engagement in employment-focused activities.
- Bridge connections between student learning & operations and employers.
- Program Coordination:
Grow the number of employers engaged on campus by executing employer spotlights, job fairs, networking events, classroom visits, campus tours, interview days, faculty meetings, company tours, and other pinnacle employment events. - Leadership:
Supervise Employer Relations Campus Lead(s) by fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth mindset within the career services team. - Advocacy:
Serve as a spokesperson for employer relations and industry relations initiatives in the region as needed in tandem with the Employer Relations, Career Development Leadership, and ERD constituents.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2 years required experience in a leadership or management role, overseeing teams and driving operational excellence. 4 years preferred.
- 3 years of required experience in program coordination and deployment. 5 years preferred.
- 3 years required demonstrated experience in customer relationship management. 5 years preferred.
- Career Services:
Understand employer/HR Manager hiring and workforce needs and expectations as well as industry trends, market demands, and emerging fields. - Placement:
Understanding of job placement processes per program (for credit and not for credit). - Employer Relations:
Familiarity with developing, managing, and scaling a coordinated employer engagement program and processes. - Stakeholder Needs Assessment:
Skill in conducting needs analysis and working with businesses, associations, and government agencies to determine hiring needs. - Strong relationship-building and networking skills with employers at all levels…
