Job Description:
Repair damaged windows and windshields. Install new windows and windshields. Weatherproof windows and windshields. Provide estimates to customers. Use a variety of tools to complete repairs as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing damage: Evaluating the severity of windshield cracks and chips to determine if repair is possible or if a replacement is needed.

• Cleaning and preparing the area: Thoroughly cleaning the damaged area on the windshield to ensure proper adhesion of repair resin.

• Injection of repair resin: Using specialized tools to inject a resin compound into the crack or chip, filling the damaged area.

• Curing the resin: Applying heat to the resin to properly cure and solidify it, preventing further crack propagation.

• Inspecting the repair: Checking the repaired area for quality and functionality.

• Customer interaction: Explaining the repair process to customers, providing estimates, and addressing any concerns.

• Maintaining tools and equipment: Cleaning and properly storing specialized repair tools and supplies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Manual dexterity:

• Precise hand-eye coordination is necessary for accurately injecting resin into small cracks.

• Attention to detail:

• Careful inspection of the damage and meticulous application of repair materials are crucial.
