Responsibilities- The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
- The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
- The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement (QI), and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
- Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
- Performs and fulfills all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
- Knows the Hospital s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - License &
Certifications:
Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law in the state of practice; AHA BLS; and if applicable by policy for the unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP, Basic Fetal and Intermediate Fetal.
- Education:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Nursing. - Experience:
Recent acute care experience.
