Essential Job Functions- Monitoring: Inspect licensed and registered child‑care facilities, document compliance, and provide technical assistance. (30%)
- Investigations: Investigate complaints and allegations of minimum standards violations. (25%)
- Permitting: Evaluate new applications for child‑care facilities. (15%)
- Enforcement: Identify risk and recommend referrals to Child‑Care Enforcement (CCE) when necessary. (10%)
- Training: Provide training and technical assistance to providers. (10%)
- Emergency Response: Respond to high‑risk situations in licensed operations. (5%)
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. (5%)
- Education/
Experience:
Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university or equivalent experience. Experience in regulatory services is preferred. - Licensure: Valid driver's license.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and ability to work with diverse groups.
- This position requires flexibility, as work hours are not strictly 8:00‑5:00 and may include evenings or weekends.
- Applicants must pass a background check, including a criminal history check and Texas Child Abuse and Neglect Registry check.
