2nd shift 1pm-10pm or 3rd shift 10pm-6am
Academic Requirements:
Required
- Associate degree or bachelor's or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university preferably in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or related field of study;
Preferred
- Graduate degree from accredited program/university in a related field
Certifications:
First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Work Experience:
Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training;
Preferred
- Two (2) plus years of related experience and/or training
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
Other Responsibilities:
- Supervise zone supervisors assigned to this position to ensure staffing levels meet each child's physical, social, emotional, educational, and recreational needs and comply with contract and regulatory standards and requirements.
- Schedule appointments for children and follow-up to ensure each child's essential needs are met.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with personnel and/or other professionals including law enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals, and other community resources.
- Regularly observe and evaluate buildings, grounds, equipment, staff, children, vehicles and other program resources and address issues and problems as needed.
- Frequently traverse from one area of the physical plant to another.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
- Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.
Requirements:
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
- Demonstrate the ability to:
- Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
- Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
