The Role – Nursery Assistant

As a Nursery Assistant, you will:

Support children aged 0–5 in their learning and development

Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment

Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development

Work closely with nursery staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for children

Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this Nursery Assistant position, you should have:

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent) – desirable

Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum

A passion for working with young children

A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach

A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Unqualified candidates with relevant experience in childcare settings may also be considered.
