HGV Technician (Harlow)

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our dedicated team at our customer’s site in Harlow. The role involves working night shifts Monday – Thursday nights, with a mix of truck and trailer work in a clean, warm, and well-maintained environment.

• Week one – Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am - Saturday 6am to 12 noon pay time and a half
• Week two – Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am – No weekend Shift
• Week three – Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am – Sunday 6am to 12 noon pay double time
• Week four – Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am - No weekend Shift

• Perform routine service, maintenance and repair on HGVs, trucks and trailers.
• Carry out inspections and complete MOT prep and presentation.
• Diagnose faults and efficiently rectify issues.
• Maintain accurate records, including job cards and service sheets, using online systems.
• Prioritise tasks to ensure quality service without sacrificing efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard with a focus on “Right First Time.”

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in HGV Repair & Maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience working with HGV (Trucks & Trailers).
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Basic IT skills are beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Motivated, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

• Annual salary starting at over £60k (rates start at £24.25 per hour, increase with IRTEC & Double Deck certifications)
• Night shifts Monday – Thursday
• Alternative day shifts on a weekend paid at overtime rates (see shift pattern below)
