HGV Technician – VMU Harlow

We’re looking for a qualified HGV Technician based near Harlow to maintain fleets of trucks & trailers on our customer’s site. Day shifts Monday to Friday.

Salary starting from: £60k for day shifts and £70k for night shifts.

• Support customers on site by maintaining and repairing fleets of trucks & trailers in accordance with current legislation.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• Complete inspections on engines and electrical components and rectify problems within specific time frames.
• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to both new and used trucks & trailers.
• Work on large double deck trailers (double deck experience is required).

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGVs and other commercial vehicles and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle.
• Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

We operate 24/7 at many of our customers’ sites, meaning there is overtime opportunities available. This site will require weekend overtime – we will discuss the specific requirements of each role with you during the interview process. We reward our Technicians for supporting us to support our customers by offering payment uplift.

• 1.5x base rate for any work on Saturdays.
• 2x base rate for Sundays and/or Bank Holiday (plus a day back in lieu for working a BH).
