Key Responsibilities
* Carry out comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) specifically focused on fire doors.
* Inspect fire door frames, panels, hardware, intumescent seals, and gaps to ensure compliance with current UK fire safety regulations.
* Utilize digital handheld devices or specific compliance software to record survey data and upload detailed reports.
* Identify defects, non-compliance issues, and clearly prescribe required remedial actions (e.g., repairs or full replacements).
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experience:
Proven track record working as a Fire Door Surveyor or FRA Inspector.
* Qualifications:
Recognized industry qualification in fire door inspection (e.g., FDIS, BM TRADA, or Fire Qual accreditation).
* Knowledge:
Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of UK Fire Safety legislation and British Standards (such as BS 8214).
* Tools:
Full UK driving licence, own transport, and standard surveying tools/PPE.
