Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations in Michigan. This role is well suited for an early-career candidate who is eager to strengthen financial reporting accuracy, maintain organized records, and contribute to day-to-day ledger activity. The ideal candidate brings a solid academic foundation in accounting or finance, strong spreadsheet skills, and hands-on experience preparing journal entries and working within accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by organizing financial data and assisting with account analysis.
• Review accounting records for completeness and accuracy while helping uphold internal documentation standards.
• Use Quick Books and other accounting tools to process routine financial activity and generate supporting reports.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for reconciliations, reporting, and daily accounting tasks.
