We're seeking aproactive, outbound-focused Business Development & Sales Representative to expand our client base and drive revenue growth for Ghesquiere Plastic Testing (GPTesting), a trusted automotive materials testing lab with over 55 years of experience serving OEMs and Tier I/II/III suppliers across North America. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven and hands-on individual to join our team at GPTesting, with company headquarters in Harper Woods, Michigan.
As the Business Development & Sales Representative , you will coordinate, plan, and execute digital and direct sales campaigns.
You’ll establish a collaborative working relationship with the business owner and the Marketing and Sales Coordinator, who will work with you on strategic and big-picture goals while taking charge of tactical implementation and execution.
This role is 90% outbound prospecting and 10% inbound lead management—perfect for a self-motivated hunter who excels at building relationships in technical B2B environments.
The ability to organize, plan, and structure your workload autonomously will be key to your success in this role. We neither have the time nor the inclination to micromanage you. You’ll have a lot of freedom in this role, but also a lot of responsibility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO- Prospect new business through cold calling, data mining, and targeted outreach to automotive OEMs, Tier I/II/III suppliers, and material manufacturers
- Represent GPTesting at automotive industry trade shows and expos to generate leads and build relationships
- Conduct consultative discovery calls to understand client testing needs and timelines
- Present our 850+ accredited testing methods as solutions to materials validation challenges
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution
- Report individual sales metrics to the Marketing and Sales Coordinator, ensuring all quotas are met.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Coordinator to follow lead generation plans that align with company and revenue growth objectives.
- PLUS:Create simple quotes using our existing pricing structures for standard testing services
- Proven outbound sales experience with cold calling and pipeline generation (B2B preferred)
- Self-starter with a

- Comfortable in technical environments (automotive/manufacturing/materials testing)
- Resilient and energized by the challenge of breaking into new accounts
- BONUS: Familiarity with automotive industry OEM requirements, supply chain, or testing processes
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business-to-business sales role.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- High emotional intelligence, resilience, and problem-solving ability.
40 hours weekly, (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT)
SALARY$50,000 - $75,000/year, plus commission and bonuses
* Our goal is to make this partnership beneficial for both of us, after 90 days we will review performance and reassess the commission and base pay structure.
BENEFITSThis is a 1099 role which does not include set number of vacation days or health benefits. It is performance based and there is no cap on earnings.
