- Valid Delaware Early Childhood Special Education certification
- Experience working specifically with children ages 3-5
- Strong understanding and hands‑on experience supporting students with a wide range of disabilities
- Skill in addressing and redirecting negative behaviors in a positive, respectful manner
- Passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to foster growth during critical developmental years
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with families and colleagues
- Deliver targeted instruction and support to preschool‑age children with special needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s capabilities and goals
- Utilize positive behavior strategies and proactive classroom management techniques
- Collaborate with therapists, aides, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
- Foster engaging, inclusive learning environments that encourage student participation and growth
- Maintain open, supportive communication with families to promote partnership in their child’s learning journey
