Southeastern Illinois College is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join our Student Services team. This full-time position conducts area recruitment activities for Southeast Illinois College at local high schools, agencies, businesses, and civic organizations. This individual must maintain current knowledge of Southeast's programs and services to represent the College to all audiences. This position requires self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
This is a high-energy position that demands flexibility, the ability to multitask, and the ability to work as a team player, and it involves frequent travel to in-district and border county high schools. The position reports to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services and works closely with other staff members within Student Services, as well as assisting all areas involved with high school programs, including Academic Services, the CTE Office, and other areas as needed.
- Experience in recruitment, admissions, dual credit, or a community college setting preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to confidently engage and present to high school students and large groups.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and self-directed.
- Strong customer service and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to the mission of community colleges and continuing education.
