Accounting Manager

Manager, Accounting Group

We are looking for a manager in our accounting group to oversee engagements including reviews and compilations, mentor staff and assist with managing our growth. Responsibilities include reviewing work of senior and staff accountants, developing and maintaining working relationships with clients and helping firm to grow by identifying new business opportunities. Ability to review corporate and personal tax returns is a plus but not required.

Individual must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to supervise multiple projects. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of financial statement preparation and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, CCH Pro System fx Engagement and Quick Books. Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA license and 7+ years of public accounting experience required.

Bachelors degree in accounting or related field; advanced degree highly desirable, but not mandatory

Active CPA certification

Ability to review corporate and personal tax returns is a plus but not required

Experience with M&A and business transitions a plus, but not required

Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in local public accounting firm

Solid working knowledge of financial statement preparation and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

A growing client service skillset and the ability to develop strong client relationships

Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, including: building and utilizing client networks, communicating value propositions, managing budgets, and preparing complex materials

Experience and Proficiency with CCH Pro System fx Engagement and Quick Books

Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in Excel

To get in on the ground level of a company branching into different verticals in Investment Banking, VC, Family Office and RIA services.
