Cost Billing Specialist

Summary of Position:
Cost Billing Specialist applies the principles of cost accounting to provide detailed expense and revenue information beyond what is supplied by the general ledge.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports and correctly interpret the financial compliance requirements in contract guidelines.
- Develop reliable and timely forecast budgets as required and communicate findings to internal departments and program staff.
- Issue invoices supported by interpretation of contract requirements and schedules, data, and analysis.
- Expertly navigate multiple software systems, applications, and portals to support objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to achieve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support cost accounting work using Microsoft Excel tools.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associates degree in Accounting and/or 2-4 years of directly related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is general preferred.
- 2
-4 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in non-profit sectors a plus.
