Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

+ Contact customers regarding past-due accounts by phone, email, and written correspondence.

+ Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.

+ Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive customer relationships.

+ Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts.

+ Process customer payments and accurately update account records.

+ Reconcile customer accounts and investigate account variances.

+ Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment concerns.

+ Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities and customer communication.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or a related field.

+ Strong communication and negotiation skills.

+ Ability to manage a high volume of accounts while maintaining attention to detail.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.

+ Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
