DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the Board of Pardons by reviewing applications, preparing case materials, and maintaining accurate records. It ensures clear communication with applicants, representatives, and agencies throughout each step of the process. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:
* Application Review:
Examine clemency applications and request additional information when needed
* Case Preparation:
Organize investigative reports and verify crime information for merit review
* Decision Processing:
Record Governor decisions, prepare notifications, and send required memos
* Record Access:
Use systems to obtain criminal history documents, dockets, and related records
* Stakeholder Communication:
Provide clear guidance to applicants, representatives, and partner agencies
* Document Management:
Assist with retention, archiving, and completion of special assignments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
* Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
* Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
* You must have one or more years of experience with reviewing processes and procedures within an office setting.
* You must have one or more years of experience entering and tracking data within a website/database.
* You must have one or more years of experience maintaining and retaining records.
* You must have one or more years of experience reviewing documentation received from outside organizations for accuracy.
* You must have one or more years of experience in community outreach.
* You must be able to perform essential job functions.

* You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
