This position can be located in Harrisburg, PA or in the Greater Philadelphia area. This is an on-site position that requires retail banking experience. Travel throughout the entire Bank footprint is required (PA and NJ). Position may travel 25%- 50% of the time.

Position Overview
The Instructor is responsible for conducting company-wide employee development, training, and education, partnering with subject matter experts, and designing and updating University classes. This individual will focus on primarily on retail and professional development classes. The Instructor will help implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the department as part of the Company's annual strategic plan and ensure the department's compliance with operating policies, procedures, and outside regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Delivers training, including but not limited to, technical, retail, and professional development topics.
* Understands foundational principles of adult learning, instructional design, and eLearning development and the effective application thereof.
* Understands and can advise customers on multiple department best practices; demonstrates an above average understanding of banking practices.
* Designs training related documents, materials, and presentations.
* Practices appropriate classroom management techniques; demonstrates appropriate pre-class planning and preparation practices; utilizes post class debrief activities; coaches and delivers feedback to participants; escalates concerns to Senior Instructor, Human Resources, and employee's direct manager, as warranted.
* Reviews and edits training content and format design for consistency;
Ensures materials adhere to department standards for formatting and consistency.
* Achieves goals assigned as part of the University's responsibilities within the annual strategic plan. Communicates with management and staff personnel to successfully complete the stated goals and activities.
* Acts as a partner and consultant to management and supervisory personnel company-wide identifying employee training needs and recommending possible education and development solutions.
* Designs and develops basic eLearning courses and videos.
* Coordinates and conducts a wide range of training programs to meet the needs of the company and our employees.
* Facilitates educational presentations by Subject Matter Experts either in-person or virtual.
* Hosts virtual training sessions; assists with classroom set-up for in-person Instructor-led training.
* Conducts in-house training and evaluates course/program effectiveness; makes appropriate changes and updates to courses programs as needed.
* Prepares training status reports, exhibits, and communications as required.
* Evaluates the performance-based effectiveness of training programs in coordination with managers and supervisors including the impact of training on learners' job performance. Tracks, and reports the information gathered.
* Maintains appropriate and accurate records as well as completes all assigned reports within the specified time frame.
Education & Qualifications
* A B.S. or B.A. degree in education and/or business administration and at least five years of teaching equivalent.
* A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related experience normally required. Previous teaching, training, and/or advanced banking experience strongly preferred.
* Travel throughout the entire Bank footprint is required. Position may travel 25%- 50% of the time.
