Being a Instructional Support Specialist at Devereux has its AdvantagesYou will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position will support teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients. You will assist in the implementation of a basic educational programming and performing duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher inclusive of individual tutoring or one‑on‑one support for a student with special needs.
Everyday as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:
- Ensuring the health and safety of youth in the school
- Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
- Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.
- Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am‑4pm (52 week year round position)
- Pay rate: $17.50‑$19.95 (based upon education and experience)

- Education:
High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post‑secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred. - Experience:
Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred. - Devereux has a zero‑tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
