Position

Foundations is seeking experienced Principals and Assistant Principals to work in local schools and districts on a per diem basis to fill short and long-term vacancies. Areas of specialty include Special Education, Climate and Culture, and a focus on research-based instruction.

Role Overview

The Interim Principal will assume temporary leadership of the school, overseeing all aspects of school operations and academic programs. Working closely with faculty, staff, students, parents, school board, and the wider community, the Interim Principal will ensure the school continues to thrive during the transition period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Leadership - Provide effective leadership and management to maintain the smooth operation of the school. Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure all administrative processes are executed efficiently.
  • Academic Oversight - Monitor and support the school's academic programs, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices. Guide instructional leaders and teachers to promote student achievement and success.
  • Student Support - Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that prioritizes student welfare and academic growth.
  • Staff Support - Support and mentor the school's faculty and staff during the interim period. Encourage professional learning and offer guidance to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality education.
  • Parent and Community Engagement - Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders. Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to strengthen partnerships and promote the school's reputation.
  • Budget and Resource Management - Oversee the school's budget, allocating resources judiciously to support educational programs, extracurricular activities, and facility maintenance.
  • School Policies and Compliance - Ensure compliance with local education regulations, school policies, and procedures. Work closely with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Crisis Management - Establish and follow crisis management protocols to handle emergencies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
  • School Development and Promotion - Promote the school's achievements and distinctive offerings during the interim period. Participate in marketing and outreach activities to maintain the school's positive standing within the community.
Role Overview

The Interim Assistant Principal will work closely with the school's administrative team to support the overall management and operation of the school. This position serves as a critical liaison between faculty, staff, students, parents, and the principal. The Interim Assistant Principal will actively participate in creating a positive learning environment and upholding the school's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Leadership - Collaborate with the principal and instructional leaders to ensure academic programs align with educational standards and best practices. Support the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional strategies to enhance student achievement and engagement.
  • Student Discipline and Welfare - Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive school environment by enforcing school policies, addressing student behavior concerns, and fostering a positive school culture that promotes respect and cooperation.
  • Teacher Support and Evaluation - Provide instructional support to teachers through mentoring, professional development opportunities, and regular feedback. Contribute to the teacher evaluation process in alignment with the school's evaluation framework.
  • Administrative Duties - Oversee daily school operations, including managing student attendance, handling scheduling, and coordinating school events and activities.
  • Parent and Community Engagement - Collaborate with the school's community relations team to establish and maintain strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community members. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and participate in school-community events.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting - Utilize student data and assessment results to inform decision-making processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to enhance overall student performance.
