Mid Penn Bank Learning and Development Internship

Join one of Pennsylvania's Greatest Places to Intern! Are you interested in learning how employees develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed? Our Instructional Design in Learning & Development Internship offers hands-on experience supporting employee training and development in a professional banking environment. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to real learning projects, work with experienced Learning & Development professionals, and gain insight into how training supports employees across a financial services organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the design, development, and updating of training materials for employees across the organization.
  • Support the creation of presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, e-learning content, and other learning resources.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team members and subject-matter experts to develop engaging and accurate training content.
  • Research instructional design and adult learning best practices and help apply them to training initiatives.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining learning content.
  • Help review training materials for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Gain exposure to training topics specific to the banking industry, including customer service, compliance, risk management, and professional development.
  • Participate in learning sessions and opportunities to connect with experienced professionals and leaders across the organization.

Who You Are:

  • A student pursuing a degree in instructional design, education, human resources, organizational development, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Interested in learning how training and development support employees in a banking environment.

Pay Transparency

We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
